Did you know…

CDG is hosting a Lunch & Learn on new technologies and their uses in engineering? The luncheon is this Wednesday, and there are still a few spots available. Contact Jason Coates atjcoates@cdgengineers.com for more details.

PERMITTING SERVICES

CDG’s service offerings include permitting assistance for federal, state and local governing bodies. In fact, CDG has provided extensivepermitting services to a variety of organizations, including bulk materials handling companies; public works organizations and infrastructure agencies; and commercial firms that operate barge loading and unloading terminals throughout the Midwest.

CDG’s civil engineering team is well-versed in USACE, US and State EPA, DNR, DOT, FEMA permit, as well as, floodplain and levee regulation requirements. In addition to baseline requirements, CDG has also prepared hydrologic monitoring plans and characterizations; developed probable hydrologic consequence determinations; and completed hydrologic restoration plans. CDG has also prepared stormwater drainage and control management plans, hydrologic control plans and sediment control plans for various client groups as part of the permitting process for various operations.

Contact Steve Hilderbrand to learn more about how CDG can assist you with your permitting needs.

ARC FLASH MITIGATION

CDG’s experienced electrical teamunderstands the importance of electrical safety and  arc flash hazard analysis and mitigation . We pride ourselves on providing clients with a thorough arc flash risk analysis that includes interviews with plant personnel, in depth review of existing electrical drawings and our own electrical system modeling. We are able to input this information into our  SKM and ETAP software programs, run various scenarios and then provide you with comprehensive arc flash mitigation strategies and recommendations for enhanced arc flash protection. Frequent suggestions for mitigation of arc flash hazard intensities include: replacing fuses, adjusting circuit breaker or relay settings and other modifications to current power distribution equipment.

As part of our process, CDG can also provide the necessary labeling, to ensure your facility is code compliant. Furthermore, we can help train your plant managers and staff, thereby minimizing the likelihood of an arc flash event. By providing your facility with a full set of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and program guidelines, we are confident your facility will be safer than ever before.

GIVING TO ST. MARTHA’S HALL

Christmas is a time of giving, and CDG employees have been generously donating to St. Martha’s Hall for the last 20 years. St. Martha’s is a not-for-profit organization that provides shelter for abused women and their children! This year with the help of everyone at our office headquarters, we donated several large bags of toys and clothing to the kids of St. Martha’s. For more information on St. Martha’s Hall, and its mission to break the cycle of domestic violence , visit the website here .

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY

CDG held our annual holiday party on December 8th at the  Missouri Athletic Club (“MAC”) in St. Louis’ downtown area. The event was held in the Art Lounge where dinner and drinks were served to everyone in attendance. The setting was beautifully decorated for the holiday season, and employees and guests arrived in their finest attire. Service awards were celebrated during the evening, and a good time was had by all.
